Privacy Notice
How Cirugía de Corazón collects, uses and protects your personal data.
This notice explains how Cirugía de Corazón collects, uses, stores and protects personal data. It is issued in accordance with Mexico’s Federal Law on the Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties (Ley Federal de Protección de Datos Personales en Posesión de los Particulares, LFPDPPP), published in the Diario Oficial de la Federación on 20 March 2025, and the provisions that derive from it.
Data controller. Dr. Alejandro Molina Romo, cardiovascular surgeon, who practises under the name Cirugía de Corazón, with address at Calle Tarascos 3473, Piso 4, Consultorio 430-A, Col. Monraz, Guadalajara, Jal., 44670, Mexico, is responsible for the personal data you provide through this website.
What we collect
Through this website we collect only what you choose to give us. If you submit the appointment or enquiry form, that is your email address. If you contact us by email or telephone, it is the information contained in your message.
We also record standard technical information when you visit: pages viewed, approximate location derived from your IP address, referring site, browser and device type. This is used in aggregate to understand how the site is used.
None of the data we collect through this website is sensitive personal data. We do not ask for clinical information through this website. Please do not send medical records, test results, images or details of your condition through the website forms. If a consultation proceeds, clinical information is collected and held under the separate obligations that govern medical records, not under this notice.
Why we use it
Purposes that are necessary to serve you, and do not require your consent: to respond to your enquiry and arrange an appointment or video consultation; to keep a record of our correspondence; and to keep the website secure and working.
Purposes that require your consent: to send you educational content and news from Cirugía de Corazón by email. You can refuse or withdraw this at any time, using the unsubscribe link in any email or by writing to the address below, without affecting the purposes above.
We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling.
Sensitive data
Health data is treated as sensitive personal data under the LFPDPPP and requires your express consent. We do not seek sensitive data through this website. Where it becomes necessary in the course of care, it is collected directly, with consent, and handled under professional confidentiality obligations.
Who we share it with
We do not sell personal data and we do not share it for advertising. Data may be handled by service providers acting on our instructions, such as our website host and email provider, who are bound to process it only as we direct. Data may be disclosed where the law requires it, or where it is necessary to protect life or health in an emergency.
How long we keep it
Enquiry correspondence is kept for as long as needed to deal with the matter and for a reasonable period afterwards for our records. Technical logs are kept for a limited period. Medical records are retained for the period required by Mexican health regulations, which is longer.
Your ARCO rights
Under Mexican law you have the right to access your personal data, to have it rectified when it is inaccurate, incomplete or out of date, to have it cancelled when it is no longer needed, and to oppose its use for particular purposes — including processing carried out solely by automated means that produces adverse legal effects for you. These are known as ARCO rights. You may also withdraw consent you have previously given, or ask us to limit the use or disclosure of your data.
To exercise any of these, write to [email protected] stating which right you wish to exercise or what you are asking for, and enclosing proof of your identity — or, if you act on someone else’s behalf, proof of your identity and of your authority to represent them. We will reply within the periods set by the LFPDPPP. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may bring the matter to the Secretaría Anticorrupción y Buen Gobierno, the federal authority responsible for the protection of personal data.
Security
This site is served over an encrypted connection. Access to enquiry data is limited to the people who need it to respond to you. No system is completely secure, and we will tell you promptly if a breach occurs that affects your rights.
Cookies
A cookie is a small file a website stores on your device. This site uses a small number of them.
Strictly necessary. These make the site work and cannot be switched off. They hold your session as you move between pages, remember your light or dark display preference, and protect forms against abuse. They do not identify you.
Analytics. We use aggregate measurement to understand which pages are read and how people arrive at the site. It tells us a page was viewed; it does not tell us who you are, and it is never combined with health information.
Video. Some videos are served directly from this website and set no cookies. Others are embedded from YouTube; when you play one of those, YouTube may set its own cookies under its own policies. If you do not play a YouTube video, none are set.
What we do not do. No advertising cookies, no retargeting or remarketing, and no sale or sharing of browsing data with advertisers or data brokers.
Controlling cookies. Every major browser lets you view and delete stored cookies and block them by site or entirely. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of this site working. Your browser’s help pages explain how.
Children
This website is not directed at children. Where care involves a minor, consent is given and rights are exercised by the parent or legal guardian.
